Spicy casserole

Serves 4

Ingredients

bulletKnob of butter
bullet2 Onions
bullet1 tin of chopped tomatoes
bullet1 chicken stock cube (dissolved in 190ml of water)
bullet1 tbsp of tomato ketchup
bullet4 rashers steaky bacon
bullet6 spicy sausages
bullet2 cloves of garlic
bullethalf a tablespoon of chilli powder
bullethalf tsp of salt
bullet1 tbsp of flour
bullet1 tbsp of oil

Method

  1. Melt butter and fry sausages until brown

  2. Remove sausages and set aside

  3. Add sliced onions, garlic and oil and cook for five minutes

  4. Add chopped bacon and cook

  5. Stir in 1 tbsp of flour (or enough to soak up juices)

  6. Add 1 can of chopped tomatoes and stock

  7. Add chilli, ketchup and salt and stir

  8. Add sausages and cook for 25 minutes

  9. Fry second onion separately, until transparent and add to pot

  10. Remove cover and cook until reduced
